10/7/2023 0 Comments Tidal cove cabanasWhen the slides opened, line times were around 5 minutes at most. We arrived as the gates opened at 9am and used the pool whilst we waited for the slides to open at 10am. Certainly steep but you'll get value for that ticket price? Wrong. Where to begin? Well the ticket price is a good start - $75 per person and that's on one of the quieter days. It is one average-sized hotel pool, one kids area, a collection of 5 slides and the shortest lazy river I've ever seen. To call this place a water park is somewhat disingenuous. The place is finding its feet being new but is worth the day out. They do great food and the service from the staff was great especially Shelsie. We visited mid week so the park was empty so now queueing for slides. The blue slide which is like a capsule is brilliant. ![]() We enjoyed the lazy river, all the slides and the Flo rida. Staff are friendly, the place is very clean and the service was very good. ![]() This park is a great day out and still gets a 5 star review as we really enjoyed it. On the second visit the only slide which was closed was the big blue one which was a shame but the green and Flo rida were open. We put our luggage into Marriott luggage room. We then spoke with Ethan who was very good along with his manager Sebastian (I think) who gave us another day entry into the park and the kids ice cream as we should have been advised on entry the park was closing for an event and half the slides were out of service.Īs we were leaving a couple of days (from the UK) it was going to be difficult to allocate another day so we decided to check out of our hotel and spend the last day at tidal. We then found out the park was closing at 1pm. We arrived and found that two slides were not working and the Flo rida was out of service. It’s not cheap, $75 each including children. Day passes also include access to the water park’s two new restaurants: Surf House Bar and Grill, a 142-seat open-air eatery with upscale seafood fare and Freestyle, a quick-service food shack featuring pizza and house-made gelato. So we booked to come to the water park staying in a nearby hotel. There’s also a Kid’s Cove playground, a zero-entry swimming pool, a lazy river stretching an eighth of a mile through tropical foliage, and luxury cabanas and day beds for rental. Can’t surf? The hotel’s professional Flowiders, Nate Murray and Josh Soto, charge $60 for 30-minute lessons ($45 for additional riders). There’s also a FlowRider Triple surf simulation pool, featuring three surfing areas for visitors to practice surfing, bodyboarding, skateboarding, skimboarding, wakeboarding and snowboarding. ![]() Drop feet-first down a luge with two Aqua Drop body slides (348 and 286 feet long, respectively), or race side-by-side on the Boomeranger, a 377-footer for two-to-four riders on rafts. On the 266-foot-long double slide Whizzard, riders plunge headfirst down a mat. There’s the Constrictor, a 558-foot-long slide on water rafts that drops, twists and turns alongside the Master Blaster, a 486-foot slide. ![]() The centerpiece of Tidal Cove’s aquatic fun is its 60-foot-tall water slide tower, which boasts seven water slides. The new Tidal Cover Waterpark, inside the JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort and Spa in Aventura, is now open with a 60-foot-tall water tower with seven water slides, along with a surf simulation pool and a lazy river.
